Living with chronic symptoms can be difficult. For almost 40 years, the Self-Management model developed at the Stanford School of Medicine has been helping keep people out of the emergency room, hospital and doctor’s offices. Learn about how this program uses a “self-management tool box” to “break the symptom cycle” and help people take control of their lives to stay active and engaged in the activities they enjoy.

A Self Management Master Trainer and educational gerontologist, Dr. Caiden coordinates evidence-based health and wellness programs for WISE & Healthy Aging, a Santa Monica-based nonprofit.
