In honor of Coachella Valley Giving Day, we are excited to host a virtual meet & greet with Cancer Support Community Coachella Valley staff and featured group facilitators, including Bill Kavanagh—a beloved licensed clinical therapist who has been with Cancer Support Community for over 12 years and resides in Coachella Valley. As someone with his own cancer journey, Bill will share stories with us about why this type of support is important, and our staff will answer your questions about what support groups are like, how to join, and so much more.

CV Giving Day is a 24-hour celebration of local generosity — a valley-wide movement on March 3, 2026 that brings together neighbors, nonprofits, and businesses.
Hosted by the Desert Community Foundation and California Bank & Trust, CV Giving Day makes it easy for everyone to give back to the causes they care about most. Each year, thousands of donors come together to support the hundreds of participating nonprofits working on the front lines — from youth programs and food security to housing, education, and the arts.
Through their Impact Partners/Sponsors — including the RAP Foundation/NPO Centric and the Auen Foundation — CV Giving Day provides prize opportunities, visibility, and resources that help local nonprofits like us do even more good.
As you know, Cancer Support Community Los Angeles has now expanded our services to the Coachella Valley and Palm Springs regions, providing our free support services to those outside of LA County.
Every donation received through our CV Giving Day Page will support our new location and its free programs in Palm Springs and Coachella Valley!
