Creative Community Service Award Winner

On November 12, 2024, Cancer Support Community Los Angeles was awarded the “Creative Community Service” award at the 40th Annual West Hollywood Creative Business Awards (CBA): There’s No Place Like WeHo at the 1 Hotel West Hollywood in West Hollywood. The ceremony celebrated 21 nominated businesses that have shown innovation and creativity in their business models. Nominees were selected by their peers in the community, and the winners were chosen by the WHCC Membership, who were announced from the stage at the event.

The Creative Business Awards is West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s most prestigious and longest-running event, celebrating the creativity and innovation of its 300 business owners, stakeholders, government, and industry leaders. The ceremony celebrates businesses that have shown innovation and creativity in their business models, whose nominees were selected by their peers in the community and winners chosen by the WHCC Membership. For decades, this award ceremony has been touted as “Los Angeles’ business community’s most powerful networking event of the year!” CBA is the most important annual fundraiser for WHCC, a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization and CBA 2024: There’s No Place Like WeHo marks its 40th anniversary. The event raises $50,000 for the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, to continue its work advocating for and promoting a healthy economy in West Hollywood.

Co-hosted by comedians, JUSTINE MARINO (Netflix, Comedy Central, MTV) and MARCO DELVECCHIO (CW’s FBoy Island, Podcast Smoothie Town) pumped up the audience with a hilarious routine as masters of ceremonies; and Winner of NBC’s The Voice, singer and songwriter, ALISAN PORTER, rocked the house with beautiful renditions of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Blue Bayou” and Harold Arlen’s “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” in addition to one of Portner’s original songs.

The Creative Community Service Award had a tie. Receiving the honor was Anthony Vulin, owner of The Collective Realty for the multiple chartable projects his team takes on each year, and newcomer to the Chamber, Cancer Support Community Los Angeles, for the amazing work they do to raise funds for services for community members, research, education, and advocacy.

Thank you to the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for this honor!
