Cancer Support Community Los Angeles (CSCLA) presents the 5th Annual Gilda Gala, an evening of appreciation, celebration, and comedy. This signature fundraising event honors notable cancer advocates and inspiring individuals that have forged new ways of approaching cancer care, all while celebrating in the spirit of one of our first participants, comedian and Saturday Night Live legend Gilda Radner.

The annual Gilda Gala began in 2014 as the key signature fundraising event for CSCLA. Over the past 5 years, the gala has raised almost $1M for CSCLA’s life-changing programs and services. Funds raised at the annual gala enable CSCLA to continue providing the highest-quality services to our participants at NO COST. This year, we will celebrate our 5th Annual Gilda Gala once again at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City. Enjoy a night of food, laughter, music, and much more as you don your finest attire to celebrate the spirit of comedy with CSCLA!


In 1986 Gilda came to our community seeking support while on her journey with ovarian cancer and found it— the first walk-in community facility of its kind, then known as The Wellness Community (TWC). In honor of Gilda’s legacy, her husband Gene Wilder and therapist Joanna Bull, along with friends and family, founded Gilda’s Club in 1991. In 2009, The Wellness Community and Gilda’s Club merged to become Cancer Support Community, now a global network of 175 locations, including health-care partnerships and satellite locations delivering support services free of charge.
